Top Ten Tuesday

This week’s list over at the Broke and the Bookish is Your Top Ten Most Recent 5 Star Books.  It wasn’t until I started going through my lists of books from this year and last year that I realized I’m either really harsh at book rating, or I haven’t been reading very good books lately.  I stopped at my top five, because I didn’t want to go back any farther than December.  So, here’s my list (in no particular order):

  1. Lumberjanes.  I’m looking at the series overall here.

2. The One You Really Want by Jill Mansell.  Techinically I haven’t finished this one yet.  Only a couple chapters left!

3. Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix by JK Rowling. Reread.

4. Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff.  Beautiful.

5. Hausfrau by Jill Alexander Essbaum.  I didn’t have too high expectation, but I did find it pretty wonderful.

So, I definitely need some five star book recommendations!  Any ideas for me?

  1. I have to admit Harry Potter is the only one on your list I have read as well. It would seem I have more books to add to my TBR list 😄

  2. I was going to read fates and furies, but it didn’t get many positive reviews. So I didnt pick it up. This is making me rethink that decision.
    Plus the cover is beautiful.

  3. Great list! The only book that I’ve read on this list is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix — I’ll definitely check out the others 🙂

  4. Great list! [/casually adds even more things to TBR piles]

I keep forgetting all about Lumberjanes. I really need to order those books. Noelle Stevenson is involved, and I loved Nimona way too much.

  5. I’ve heard so many good things about Lumberjanes! I really need to pick that series up at some point.

Thanks so much for stopping by my TTT this week! Here’s hoping this year is (better?) for you in regards to reads that evoke all the feels (or, you know, 5 star ratings)! Happy book-ing to you!

  6. Ooooh! Harry Potter! I haven’t the series in years and am in desperate need of a reread. Maybe that’ll be something I can do this summer. Great list! Thanks for stopping by yesterday. 😀

  7. Harry Potter overall is a 5 star series. I think Half-Blood Prince is my favorite, but Order of the Phoenix is a real close second. Lumberjanes looks interesting. I have to get my hands on that really soon. I need to read more graphic novels too.

  8. I’ve read all HP, except OoP. I started it when it came out, got about halfway through and something happened that caused me to put the book down and for some reason, I just never got back to it. I skipped right to books 6 and then 7. I’ve heard really good things about Lumberjanes.
