It’s been a busy summer, which included a lot of reading good books! Here’s a quick overview of some of the best books passing through my shelves lately:
Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari.
This was such a great audiobook that was both funny and insightful. I am so glad I finally gave this book a try.
Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson
There is so much information packed into this little book! I’ve been seeing it everywhere, and while I was skeptical at first, I think it’s pretty fantastic. It’s interesting, straight to the point, and not completely over my head.
The Year of Living Danishly by Helen Russell
Can you see a theme with my books? I’ve been on a serious non-fiction kick lately, and this book was perfect. I’ve always had a love for Denmark and reading more about the lifestyle and cultural differences was delightful.
Crossing to Safety by Wallace Stegner
I’m reading this one right now because I’m taking part in the Modern Mrs. Darcy Book Club, and this is the reading for the month of September. I think it is quietly beautiful right now, but there is nothing striking me as amazing yet. I’ve still got half the book to read, so we’ll see if I change my mind…
