Reading Wrap Up

I bit late, but here’s my wrap up for the 24 Hour Readathon.
Hours reading: 7 hrs 57 mins

Pages read: 697

Books finished: 2
Here’s a list of the books I read this weekend:

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Life with Archie Vols 2 & 3

Reading People

Death by Coffee

I kept track of my pages through the Bookout app. I’ve been using it for almost a year now and I’m in love with it.
Hope everyone else had a successful reading day!

Opening Survey

I’m a tad late to starting (decided I want to sleep in for the first time in forever), but here’s my answers to the opening survey. Now let’s get reading !
1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

I’m reading from the Great MidWest today. Mostly from my bed because it’s comfy and cozy and I have no reason to leave it.

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

I think I’m most looking forward to my Archie comics. Nice and light and easy to blow through.

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

I’m not really a snacker. We are planning on making shrimp pasta for dinner tonight, and that I’m looking forward to.

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

I’m a knitter, so I may try to do some today while breaking out an audiobook!

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?

I have participated a few times, and what I’m going to do differently this time is I’m not going to stick to my TBR if I don’t feel like it. Nothing is set in stone, and I’m going to read whatever I want today!
Happy Reading! I’m looking forward to being part of this community today!

Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon

I’m taking another stab at the 24 Hour Readathon, and I thought I’d share a bit of what I plan on reading this weekend!

While I don’t always do so great at reading during the entire readathon, I’ve always loved the idea of readathons.  A day/weekend/week dedicated to reading? Where you can see a community of readers doing the exact same thing you are? Love it!  This weekend I actually really, really need a couple of days to stay in and not do anything, so the readathon coincides perfectly with my mental needs.  I really hope I can get a lot of reading in this weekend!

So, without further ado, my reading list:

Harry Potter Illustrated Editions.  I have started the second and have the third in line to start.  The Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite HP book, so I can’t wait to get to the Illustrated Edition!

Writing your Novel from Start to Finish. I’m slowly working my way through this one in preparation for NaNoWriMo.

Archie: The Married Life Vol 2. A nice comic to fly through.

Magpie Murders.  Interesting premise.  I’m curious about this one.

Grant.  A nice long non-fiction book to break things up.

I know I have no hope of reading all of these books.  I just like to have a nice stack of things to choose from and dip in and out of during readathons.  I have a nice selection here, and one of them is bound to keep me going at any given moment.

Anyone else participating this weekend?  What’s your TBR?
