Day 25: Comics Craze

Comics are the best for a Readathon.  They are short, quick, and attention grabbing.  You can blow through a few issues or a trade paperback or two, and feel like you’ve really accomplished something during the readathon.

My pick for comics for the Dewey’s Readathon will be the new Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series.  I’ve loved Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys since I was a little kid, and I was thrilled to find a new comic series to dive into starring my favorite detectives.  I’ve been saving the issues for a binge read.

30 Days of Readathon

I always try to participate in some way with Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon, and it looks like they’re making their tenth year, this year, even extra special. There is a post of 30 prompts about books, and it all leads up to the actual Readathon. Of course I’m going to do my best to post about all of them! This makes the days leading up to the Readathon even more exciting!

Day 30: Favorite Book

I have a rotation of about five books that I will constantly call my “favorite.” Today, I’d have to say my favorite book is Gone with the Wind.  I’m in the middle of a very slow reread right now, and I’m just amazed by this sweeping epic. Although tragic, this book never fails to make me happy. It may have its flaws, but to me, it is perfect just the way it is.
