Inbox/Outbox for the week of 9/25/16

It’s already the end of September! So crazy to think that so much of the year has gone by. Here’s a wrap up of my book life for the last week of September:

To Be Or Not To Be by Ryan North. I loved Romeo and/or Juliet so I needed this!

Thrice the Brinded Cat Hath Mew’d by Alan Bradley. I have the whole series and adore it. Alan Bradley is a definite autobuy.

Jughead by Chip Zdarsky. I loved the new Archie so I wanted to try the new Jughead, too.

Currently Reading

Emma by Jane Austen. Buddy read. I’m surprised to say I’m really enjoying it. It’s not the most amazing book I’ve ever read, but it’s nice.

The Secret History by Donna Tart. I started the audiobook last year but never finished it. Not that I didn’t like it, though! I just got distracted. The fall season seems to bring out a lot of people rereading this book, so I thought it would be a good time to try it again.

How was everyone else’s reading week?

Weekly Wrap Up

It’s the end of another week, and I’m pretty satisfied with my reading life right now.  Here’s what I’ve been up to:

Books Finished:

Girl Waits with Gun by Amy Stewart.  Finally.  It’s a really, really great book.  Funny, thrilling, and it’s going to be a series.  I finished this buddy read just in time for the sequel.

Romeo and/or Juliet by Ryan North.  So funny!  I loved this so much, and spent so much time backtracking to try different paths.

Books Acquired:

The Days of Abandonment by Elena Ferrante.  I haven’t gotten into the Neopolitan series yet, but I thought maybe taking on one of her shorter works would help get me into it.  I’ve heard great things about this one, so fingers crossed!

Another Brooklyn by Jacqueline Woodson.  Her first adult novel in twenty years?  I’m in!

Siracusa by Delia Ephron.  My pick for my Book of the Month Club Selection.

What’s Next:

Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead.  I’m going to take this book really slowly, because I want to savor it!

That’s it for me!  How did everyone else do this week?

It’s the end of the week! Happy Friday everybody! It’s time to sum up what I’ve been up to this week in the book world:

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Romeo and/or Juliet

The Annotated Emma

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Girl Waits with Gun

In the Queue

So many! I think I’ll start with…

Happy weekend and happy reading!
